Dedicated to Service
In 2008, the Prodigal Son Foundation was established in remembrance of Carlos Arrington by his family members, fraternity brothers, and members of the community for the purpose of motivating, inspiring, and rewarding young people. Carlos set an example of being a leader in by serving on many community boards and spending most of his time supporting youth programs.
Community Commitment
The Prodigal Son Foundation is committed to ensure that students fulfill their full potential to become productive leaders. The structure of each program is to provide primary prevention and intervention efforts to facilitate positive growth and development for students. Today, the Prodigal Son Foundation impacts: nearly 1,000 low-income students; more than 150 adult families; and volunteers, tutors and mentors who engage in the movement to eliminate educational inequity.
The Prodigal Son Foundation Board continuously evaluates data to determine progress. Our records of accomplishment and quality of operations help to build cohesive partner relationships, such as the City of Charlotte, YMCA, Nu Body Fitness, Chick-Fil-A, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, FOX Sports, Hendrick Lexus at Northlake, several nonprofit organizations and many more organizations.
It is our hope that we convey the seriousness which we take this responsibility. We ask that you as leaders in the community help us create awareness make connections and engage your colleagues and friends in a way that supports our current students and ultimately position us to serve kids. We’re confident that you’ll share our excitement about the Prodigal Son Foundation continued development and the impact it is having on our community.
